Week 3 - Question #3
A major character in this novel is Benedict Arnold - who in my opinion is one of the most interesting inviduals in American History. In real life he was a hero to the Patriots and later hated by those same soliders. Read a little about the life of Benedict Arnold in this article from Wikipedia and then post a fact that you found interesting.

I found it quite suprising to know that he agreed with the attack against Canada. Although Canada , as much as I know, never has been much of a war country and more neutral than anything and therefore there is no reason for him to attack Canada. That is why I found it quite suprising to know that he agreed with the attack against Canada.

I thought it was strange that he and one of his sisters were the only of six children to survive to become adults.
I though it was brave of Benedict Arnold to run away and enlist in the Conneticut militia when he was only 15. I think it would be a very hard life if you run away. I also think it would have been hard for him after his mother died and his dad still had an acholic problem. It would be very sad to have a person in your family die. Although, I think Benedict Arnold accompllished many things during his life.

I think that it was interesting that he would just give up because we were going with the French. He could have hated it all he wanted and stayed with us as a respected man but he chose to leave. I think it's interesting that he would just gice up like that.
